The Wide Open Design TJC Chassis for the Jeep TJ is engineered to be the perfect crossover between a modified Jeep trail rig and a full tube buggy. It delivers the comfort and recognizable look of a full-body Jeep while providing the strength, suspension capability, and durability of a purpose-built off-road chassis.
Designed with performance, function, safety, and reliability in mind, the TJC chassis uses 1.75" DOM tubing in both .120 and .188 wall thicknesses to reinforce critical areas of the structure. This heavy-duty design improves durability in high-impact areas while maintaining a manageable overall weight. Builders gain the advantages of a strong tube chassis while still retaining the ability to run a Jeep TJ body.
All selected options are fully welded into the chassis before delivery, ensuring a clean, professional finish and a strong foundation for your build.

Tech Insight
The TJC chassis was developed for builders who want more capability than a traditional Jeep frame can offer while still maintaining the familiar comfort of a Jeep-based trail rig. The integrated DOM tube structure dramatically improves chassis rigidity and durability compared to a factory frame.
Strategically placed .188 wall DOM tubing in high-impact areas helps prevent denting and structural deformation during hard trail use. Replaceable rock sliders protect the sides of the chassis and can easily be replaced if they become damaged.
The chassis also includes removable drivetrain crossmembers connected with tube flange sets. This design allows drivetrain components to be installed or removed much more easily during the build process or for future maintenance.
Rear packaging space allows builders to easily fit a 15-gallon fuel cell along with a fabricated toolbox or cooler, making the platform well suited for both aggressive rock crawling and longer trail rides.
