The all new Rock Bouncer X Chassis takes the place of our original Rock Bouncer Chassis that we have been building for years. We have redesigned and reworked the chassis to upgrade many aspects of the original.

Upgrades from the original Rock Bouncer chassis:

• Narrowed and lowered the Dash bar a few inches for increased visibility
• Design changes for mounting trailing arms and bypass shocks in the rear of the chassis 
• Narrowed front frame rails to allow for bypass shock clearance
• Option of two different rear frame rail configurations depending on suspension choice

As with the original Rock Bouncer, this chassis was designed with the hardcore-trail rider and rock racer in mind. The Rock Bouncer X is made to satisfy the needs of someone looking to conquer the most extreme trails or obstacles. With the upgraded suspension capabilities we can conquer harder trails, drive faster, and ride better than we ever could before.This chassis, like all Wide Open Design chassis, was designed with our experience of rigorous testing and designing vehicles that can pushed to their limits while being a reliable off-road platform. Many available options for the Rock Bouncer's components and configurations make this chassis platform the ultimate foundation for a 4x4 vehicle.

Hammer Down for Longer

Our Heavy Duty (HD) design places 1.75 x .188 wall tubing in the high impact areas where extra strength is needed.

A chassis built entirely out of .120 wall tubing will keep occupants safe in a roll over, but leaves the chassis vulnerable to getting dented and bent. The increased strengthening of a few key impact areas allows the chassis to have a better chance of remaining straight and is less likely to dent from sudden impacts. A heavy duty chassis only adds a minimum amount of weight and you’ll have a chassis that will hold up for years to come.

Sides are Protected with Replaceable .188 Tubing Rock Sliders

.188 wall rock sliders act as protection to the sides of your Rock Bouncer. They also double as a step to ease entry and exit from your buggy if you have not chosen to have doors installed. We’ve built these into the chassis that if they do get beat up, they can be easily cut off and replaced with new .188 Tubing

Adequate Rear End Room for Fuel Cell and Tool Box/Cooler

Easily fit a 15 gallon fuel cell and a fabricated tool box in the rear end. Have fun trail riding and bring along a few tools that you may need. Or use the tool box as a cooler for your beverages and food.

Install and Remove Components with Ease

Removable Crossmembers allow for easily installing and removing of drive train components into the chassis. These tubes are connected using our Tube Flange sets.
