Auburn, AL, April 30, 2011: On the starting line for round 2 of the ECORS series were 15 race ready UTV’s all competing on a cross-country style course specifically built for wide vehicles such as UTV’s and full-size vehicles. After two hours of racing, Polaris/ATVScene.com/Wide Open Design/DragonFire Racing driver, Brit Mansell took the win by only 26 seconds over second place Keith Jones in his 130 H.P. turbo-charged Polaris RZR-S. Rounding out the podium was Michael Gilland piloting a Polaris RZR-S.
Taking his first win in a UTV race, Brit Mansell had this to say about his UTV racing experience, “It has been a long road to finishing a UTV race. It’s especially nice to take the win in my first finish.” Brit took the win on the new 2011 Polaris RZR-XP outfitted with the brand new Crusher A-Arms built by Wide Open Design. Brit claims the Wide Open Design a-arms were essential in providing the durability necessary to compete at the speeds and terrain seen at the ECORS series.
The next ECORS race will be held in Spartanburg, SC under the lights of a circle dirt track featuring a man-made poured concrete obstacle course. The date of the next is July 9th, 2011.
